PECAN was created to "connect
the dots" in terms of best practice
models. Exemplary, replicable and
scalable models were identified from
far and wide (Zimbabwe, Mozambique,
Swaziland and South Africa).
The Vision of PECAN is an Africa in which
every community has access to
the full slate of services
exemplified by PECAN - in prevention,
care/support and aftermath.
To spread this message, PECAN delivered a
number of speakers to an
international AIDS conference in
Ottawa, Canada, in May 2005. The
following presentations are those
that were made there. They are
offered here in the hopes that PECAN
can lead by example. Albert
Schweitzer said: "Example is not the
best way to influence people. It
is the only way."
